Stathopoulos Giorgos
Giorgos Stathopoulos, who belongs to the generation of contemporary painters, was born in 1944. Studied painting and sculpture in Athens in the Superior School of Fine Arts in Athens (1966-1971) near to Yannis Moralis, Niko Nikolaou, Yannis Pappa and Dimitri Kalamara. In 1970 he made his first personal exhibition in Athens. He has participated in many individual and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He has illustrated also many books, covers of poster. His work combines elements of realism and expressionism in simple writing. He lives and works in Athens.
