Melenia Art Gallery hosts in Bucharest, on Thursday 24 September 2009, the work of the Romanian artist Andrei Georgescu.
The vibrant and expressive paintings exhibit strength in the use of material, technique and perspective. Ground and foreground become one, incorporating color, texture and form.
“Painting is itself a purpose, which nobody and nothing can stop; it is like a permanent conversation with God, but not in the biblical meaning.A permanent catharsis coming from the need of sharing the light of a full soul. I paint to tease the demons that ask for their rights. That is why I am always honest, always open, always in the ideas’ crossroads.”
